The residential neighbourhood of Montrose is located in north east Edmonton. In the south west corner of Montrose is Rexall Place, home of the Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Oil Kings. Located next to Rexall Place is the Coliseium LRT station. According to the 2001 federal census, 20.4% of Montrose homes were built before 1946, and 45.6% were built between 1946 and 1960. The majority of the other 66% of Montrose homes were built by 1980.
