The neighbourhood of Ormsby Place is located in west Edmonton. According to the 2001 federal census, 46.4% of homes in Ormsby Place were built during the 1970s. During the 1980s, another 28.7% were built, with the remainder being built mostly during the 1990s. Single-family homes are the most common, according to the 2005 municipal census, and make up 55% of all homes in the neighbourhood. Row houses make up another 34%, apartments make up 8%, and duplexes make up the final 4%. A total of 76% of all neighbourhood homes are owner-occupied. There is one school in the neighbourhood, operated by the Edmonton Public School System, called Ormsby Elementary School.
