The neighborhood of Westwood is located in north central Edmonton. It is situated between 107th Street/106th Street and 97th Street, just south of the Yellowhead. The majority of the homes in Westwood were built between 1946 and 1970, when 82% of the homes in the neighborhood were built. The most common type of home in Westwood is the low-rise apartment, according to the 2005 municipal census, and accoutn for 68% of the homes in the neighborhood. Single-family homes account for another 25% of the homes in the neighborhood, and the remaining homes are duplexes. Approximately 80% of the homes in the neighborhood are rented.
