Skyrattler Edmonton Real Estate

The neighborhood of Skyrattler is located in southwest Edmonton, situated between 111th Street and Blackmud Creek, just south of 23 Avenue. The neighborhood got its name after Chief Skyrattler of the Winterburn First Nations band. The majority of the homes in Skyrattler were built between 1970 and 1990, according to the 2001 federal census, when 90.6% of the homes in the neighborhood were built. The majority of the other 9.4% of the homes in the neighborhood were built before 1970. Low-rise apartments are the most common type of home in Skyrattler, according to the 2005 municipal census, and account for a little less than half of the homes in the neighborhood. Another quarter of the homes in Skyrattler are row houses, and the majority of the remaining homes are single family homes and duplexes. A total of 53% of the homes in the neighborhood are owner-occupied.
