The neighbourhood of Empire Park is located in south west Edmonton. In the west end of the neighbourhood is located Southgate Centre, a major shopping centre. The majority of homes in Empire Park were built in the 1960s and 1970s, according to the 2001 federal census, when a total of 75% of homes were built.
