Bulyea Heights Edmonton Real Estate
The neighbourhood of Bulyea Heights is located in south west Edmonton. Bulyea Heights overlooks the Whitemud Creek ravine. The neighbourhood was named after George H. V. Bulyea, who was the first Lieutenant-Governor of Alberta. According to the 2001 federal census, Bulyea Heights is a relatively newer neighbourhood, with the first homes in the area built in the 1980s. A total of 45.8% of the homes in Bulyea Heights were built between 1986 and 1990, and the other 53.2% were built during the 1990s. Single-family homes are the most common type of home in the neighbourhood, and make up 89% of all neighbourhood homes, according to the 2005 municipal census. The other 11% are comprised of duplexes. A total of 98% of homes in Bulyea Heights are owner-occupied.
