Baranow Edmonton Real Estate
Located in the Castledowns area of Edmonton is the neighbourhood of Baranow. The neighbourhood is wider at the south end and slightly “L” shaped, with some commercial development at the south end along 137th Avenue. The first development to happen in Baranow was between the end of World War II and 1960, where about 1 in every 8 residences constructed. The second period was after 1996, when the rest of the residences were constructed. Low-rise apartment buildings are the most common type of residence in the neighbourhood, making up 72% of all residences, with 65% of those rented and the remaining owner-occupied. The majority of the other 28% of residences are duplexes, with 79% of them being owner-occupied.
